Map Panning
In order the pan the map, click anywhere on the map and drag.
The purpose of the pan button is to go back to pan mode while using Zoom in by Extent.
Pan mode is temporarily disabled when using Zoom in by Extent
You can also use your keyboard arrow keys to pan.
Zoom in by Extent
Click and drag your mouse around to resize a red square.
Let go of the mouse button when you are ready to zoom in.
To cancel your selection while resizing the red square, press the ESC key.
To exit back to pan mode, press the ESC key or "Pan" button.
You can also use your mouse scroll wheel or keyboard plus & minus keys to zoom.
Zoom In
Clicking on "Zoom In" will open the next zoom closer level available.
Fixed zooming can also be done by using the mouse scroll wheel or keyboard plus & minus keys.
Zoom Out
Clicking on "Zoom Out" will open the next zoom farther level available.
Fixed zooming can also be done by using the mouse scroll wheel or keyboard plus & minus keys.
Open Previous Extent
Clicking on "Previous Extent" will open the previous map extent.
To clear your map extent history, click on "Reset Map" or refresh your web browser.
Print Map
To generate an image file, select your image size, and then click on "Generate Image File". A popup will now open, where your image file is located.
To generate a PDF, select your page format, and then enter a title if needed. Clicking on "Generate PDF File" will start the PDF process, and then a popup will prompt you to save the file.
Note that large image and page sizes combined with aerial imagery can take up to several minutes to process.
Save Map
Click on the "Save Map" icon to open the save form.
Type in your map name (required), and map description (optional), and then click on "Save Map".
Open My Saved Map / Open Pre-defined Map Set
Click on the "Open Map" icon to open a saved map.
Select a map you want to open and then click on "Open".
Also, a list of pre-defined map sets will show, which are major cities and landmarks in Solano County, such as Travis Air Force Base.
Identify an Address / Parcel
Zoom and pan until you see an address you want to identify.
Right-click over the address you want to identify. This will open a menu. Then click on "identify address".
Latitude / Longitude Point Search
Enter the latitude and longitude decimal coordinates from your GPS-enabled device, and then click on "Search Map". This will zoom and center the map to the point entered.
Search for an Address / Parcel
To search for an address, street name, place name, or parcel, click on the search icon and select a search type from the drop-down menu.
Type at least 3 characters in the search field to perform an auto-complete search (all search types except for Assessee Search).
Assessee search requires pressing the "Find Assessee" button after typing in at least 4 characters.
Buffer on an Address, Parcel, or Street
Buffering allows you to select parcels around a feature perimeter, and then export results to mailing labels, document, or spreadsheet.
To buffer on an address, perform an Address, Street, and Identify search. A buffer button will show per search result.
Type in how many feet, bedrooms, or bathrooms to search on, and then press "buffer".
Search results will show in a few moments. Click on an export option to export results.
In order to speed up performance, pins will be drawn instead of outlines for results above 120 parcels.
Please keep the buffer radius below 1000 feet for faster browser performance.
Full Extent
Clicking on "Full Extent" will reset the map to a full view of Solano County.
Reset Map
Clicking on "Reset Map" will reset the map to a full view of Solano County. Also, your map settings and parcel selections will be cleared.
